Year 14: We're Back!
Well, the weather wasn't ideal yesterday morning. We saw snow, rain, and sleet, but the trails were beautiful, and 180+ people cross the finish line. Thanks to the students, families, and members of our extended community who joined us to participate and support each other. Community is the essential element of this event. This race is built on the generosity of outstanding local sponsors and the kindness of willing volunteers. They were awesome again this year. Overall, the first across the finish line was 3x repeat winner Kyle Simmons (19:26). He was followed by Poland Regional High School's Jackson Garcia (19:37). The first female finisher was Madelyn Gagnon (23:29). The second female was PRHS's Mackenzie Lane (23:47). This year's top Whittier Middle School male finisher was seventh grader Sam Mannett (22:58), who finished fourteenth overall. Seventh grader Isabelle Johnson (28:41) set the pace for Whittier females. I am extremely grateful for your participation. Please consider joining us in 2026 for Year 15! The weather is going to be perfect! Want to sponsor us?
We are seeking local sponsors to help make the big day a special one. Tell your friends. All sponsors of at least $100 will have their logo included on the back of the event shirt. Interested potential sponsors should contact Shawn Vincent ([email protected] or 998-3462). This is a great event for students, families and all members of our communities. |
